A Anunciação é um dos temas que melhor se prestam para a evocação de um ambiente realista e rico em detalhes. Apesar de a cena se ter passado em Nazaré (não, não é a das 7 saias nem a de D. Fuas Roupinho) os pintores flamengos sempre foram muito imaginativos na criação de ambientes cheios de pormenores.
Na Anunciação encontramos Maria e o Arcanjo S. Gabriel, o Espírito Santo (o Millenium e a Caixa também concorreram mas a Pomba foi claramente vencedora)...por vezes, lá num cantinho aparece Deus Pai...para inspecionar (tipo ASAE).

Pintura de Gentile da Fabriano. Representa um espaço fechado, um espaço interior,especial da casa. é do seculo XV´, a têmpera e folha de ouro sobre madeira. a concessao ainda é medieval. os corpos têm um panejamenti que não lhe dá forma. os apontamentos arquitectónicos, relembra-nos que ainda estamos no Gótico. no espaço , encontramos a tridimensionalidade.
